I'm looking for my June Carter

5 April 2006

I am deeply touched by Johnny Cash’s life story. His real, deeply honest sense of life has been lingering in my head these past days; his pure love for his wife June is simply beautiful. Knowing of a few of his songs, I saw the Walk the Line for the first time this weekend. I am still in awe over the whole thing, as much the story as the movie itself. And to complete the epiphany, I’m humming his songs non-stop ever-since.

A good epilogue to the movie is certainly his last video Hurt. Watching it again now almost makes me want to cry. One of the best life and love story I’ve seen on screen.

And Witherspoon as a brunette: whoa.

whyyyyy? why have you changed to this totally Web 2.0 looking design? so.. much.. large .. helvetica..

Watch NIN’s video of Hurt. That’ll get you goin’.

the recent documentary “The Last Great American” is even better
