Going East

China is calling. And actually, China has been calling for some time now. My fascination for this mutating ancient empire has been exponentially growing the more I learn about it. I wish to see, immerse myself and understand it all: the language, the culture, the tea, the economy, the poverty, the rural exodus, the architecture, the food, its people.
Time has come, stars have aligned, moves were made, and tickets were bought on Tuesday. I’ll be off exploring China, the wonderful China of Asia between January 6th and March 3rd 2009.
The first sketch of an Itinerary (subject to improvisation) is : Montreal > Beijing > Chengdu > Shanghai (pour le nouvel an chinois!) > Beijing > Montreal.
