Pendant que notre blogguiste en chef fait son grand voyage à vélo, je vous propose un autre voyage tout au plus intéressant. Allez visiter the oil sands toxic tailing ponds of Alberta […] one of the largest man-made structures in the world […] this wonder is only getting larger. Come celebrate this wondrous achievement! C’est sérieux. Ben, en réalité non, c’est greenpeace qui chapeaute le site web. Par contre, il y a réellement un musée pour découvrir et apprécier les sables bitumineux
The Greenpeace website about traveling in Alberta is brilliant. Here in Chicagoland, BP is strong-arming the Indiana environmental regulators to look the other way while they pump up emissions through an expansion of the largest refinery in North America in Whiting, Indiana. The reason for the expansion? They’re going to be refining Alberta oil sands crude oil. See, it’s a win-win! Everybody gets a little something extra for their effort.
