¶   American math rock band Battles collaborated with United Visual Artists for their Tonto video. The result is something I would like to see live. Music, photography and design makes Eric drool boy oh boy. Obviously not unlike UVA’s Volume installation at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. — edemay

¶   For all you photography geeks out there, Sean T. McHugh’s site Cambridge In Colour has not only a gallery holding a vast amount of technically perfect HDR images and other digital combinations but also a few words on technique and quite a large number of theory articles and tutorials to try out if you’re slightly interested in digital photography (the depth of field technique is something i’m going to try out more often now). Well worth a look. (Thanks Adam) — edemay

— edemay

¶   Inscribed in the living tile: an analysis of the type in the Toronto subway. In any case, Montreal’s doesn’t even come close to this. Type set in ceramic tiles is a necessary refinement for any subways system, may it be London, NY or Toronto. — edemay
