Mon frère et moi, pour passer le temps sur la route vers Chicago y’a 2 ans, on a appris la liste des 50 états par coeur à l’envers alphabétiquement.

¶ Abu Dhabi Museum Project. “Abu Dhabi’s royal family plans to buy a $650 million (€500 million) share of the Louvre. This will allow them to transfer several hundred artworks to the Arab metropolis for an initial term of 20 years.” When you have enough money, you can do pretty much what you like. Zaha Hadid, Frank Gehry, Jean Nouvel, Tadao Ando ont tous soumis des propositions formelles.
¶ MILK is a super designed work table made exclusively with your Mac in mind. Notez que malgré la finesse technique et esthétique que semble porter ce produit, c’est plutôt le branding autour de celui-ci qui saura le vendre. Le même produit pourrait avoir l’air simplement vraiment gadget (et presque kitch) s’il se retrouvait sur un site web laid au contenu mal élaboré. They know how to sell it right.
¶ Youtube: Urban Wall Skating. Projeter le vidéo d’un skater d’un camion sur les murs de la ville tout en roulant. Ils l’avaient fait avant avec un tigre qui courrait (selon la vitesse du camion), mais celui-ci est plus réussi à mon avis.

¶ Designboom: Radical Radiators of the Future contest results. Some very elegant solutions to a usually visually cumbersome piece of “furniture”.
¶ Lily Allen’s Alfie video. This is one of the good songs on the album, and the video is not as good as I wished it would be, but her good looks make up for it, I guess.
¶ Rosmarie Fiore long exposition photographs of 80’s videogame screens. Another neat project of hers are the Amusement park Scrambler drawings.
¶ Steve Jobs’ Thoughts on Music. Mostly about the iTMS, the music players and how the current state of affairs isn’t really letting much choice to consumers. He states 3 possible scenarios for the future of online music stores. Gruber reads between the lines. Both worth reading.

Les québécois ont déserté les églises dans les années 60-70 et ont de la difficulté à se définir du point de vue de la religion. Il faut se poser des questions en tant que société.
